Elder Jesse Barnum Kingston was called back home to his Heavenly Father on Friday, August 3, 2012 while serving as a full time missionary in the SLC, Family and Church History Headquarters Mission.

He graduated from LDS Seminary and Layton High School in 2010.

Jesse was an Eagle Scout and earned his Duty of God. He learned American Sign Language and was able to use it helping the deaf while serving in the Family History Center. Jesse loved to play the piano. He was very valiant and loved the Lord and his family and was always willing to serve where ever he was called. He always planned on serving a mission even from a young age.

Elder Kingston is survived by his parents, David and Marilyn Poppe, his brothers, Elder Merlin Kingston (Argentina, Cordoba mission), Elder Charles Kingston (SLC, Family and Church History Headquarters Mission), Nathaniel and Perry Poppe, and sister, Oaklie Poppe. He is also survived by his grandparents, many uncles, aunts and cousins who loved him and will miss him.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
