Eldred Clem Stephenson, 89 passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014.

He was born August 19, 1925 in Levan, Utah, the son of Levern Martin and Weltha Eva Taylor Stephenson.

Eldred was raised and lived most of his life in Utah, except seven years in Pueblo, Colorado.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the Pacific Rim Theater during World War II from 1943 to 1946.

On August 16, 1946, Eldred married the love of his life, Mary Vaun Nunley, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They celebrated 68 years of marriage.

He retired as Branch Chief of the Priority Unit at Hill Air Force Base.

Eldred was a member of the Roy Elks and D.A.V.

He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and family trips to Wendover.

Eldred is survived by his loving wife, Mary Vaun; sons Lee (Dee) Stephenson and Paul (April) Stephenson: daughters, Jan (Randy) Higginson and Gaelynn (Paul) Sewell; 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister, and one grandson.

Funeral services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary and are pending.
