Eleanor Golden Arnold
January 30, 1937 ~ February 24, 2016
Our sweet wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend Eleanor passed away on February 24, 2016 in her favorite rose colored chair. She was born in Brigham City, Utah, to Elmer Andrew and Helen Frye Golden. She was the oldest of three daughters. She graduated from Weber High School in 1955. On September 27, 1957 she married her best friend and sweetheart, Robert F. Arnold, in Elko, NV. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan LDS Temple on December 17, 1964.
Eleanor worked for Browning Arms, IRS, and later HAFB. She had 31 years of service for the Federal Government. She worked hard and taught her children a great work ethic and the value of a dollar earned.
She enjoyed growing roses, embroidery, and crossword puzzles, but most of all she loved her family and enjoyed “get togethers”. Her children meant the world to her and she was proud of all of them. She enjoyed Saturday lunches with her mom and sisters for many years.
Eleanor is survived by her husband, Robert F.; sons, Robert Blaine and Michael Paul (Chris); daughters, Angela Lee (Dan) Halacy, DeLora “Lori” Lynn (Jay) Bingham, and Tamara Faye (Trent) Ward; her sister, Vickie Jackson; 18 grandchildren, and 15 ½ great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Janice Everts; granddaughter, Mandy and grandson, Brigham.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Special thanks to Jessica and Camille with Hearts for Hospice.
