Eleanor Sue Evans Naisbitt

Sue Evans Naisbitt, eternally 39, joined her Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 31, 2013. She was born on September 11, 1933 in Ogden, Utah, the fourth child and only daughter of John W. Jr. and Eleanor Griffiths Evans.

She married George Pyper Henderson on November 17, 1955 and together they had seven children. They later divorced. On May 17, 1978 she married Dr. Byron Hunter Naisbitt and welcomed his four children.

Sue earned her Nursing degree from the Dee School of Nursing and was a member of the last graduating class. She later earned a Masters degree in Nursing/Midwifery from the University of Utah. She was the head Nurse in the delivery room at McKay Dee Hospital for several years. She served as a midwife and nurse until she retired. She had the opportunity to deliver some of her grandchildren.

Sue was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings from Primary to Relief Society President and everything in between. She was an enthusiastic member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

She had a deep love for her family, horses, and dogs. Most of all she will be remembered for her cooking. Thanks Grandma for the millions of dinners you served in your home, always on your finest China. You made the best rolls ever!!!

Sue is survived by her husband, Dr. Byron Naisbitt; children, Rose (Ronnie) Chambers, Sue (Steve) Bauter, John Henderson, Martin (Julie) Henderson, Jane (Lee) Montoya, Emily (Lorin) Hebert, and Nan (Jason) Hodge; Gary (Annette) Naisbitt, Brett (Diane) Naisbitt, and Claire (Scott) Swift; 28 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild and one brother, Bobby (Chyroll) Evans.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Jack Evans, and Byron''s son, Cortney Naisbitt.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Waterfall Canyon Ward, 3254 Polk Avenue, Ogden. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
