Elias Rosas Berdin, 90, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, February 16, 2018 from natural causes.

Elias was born on April 18, 1927 in Bisbee, AZ to Juan and Manuela Rosas Berdin. He married Lydia Lopez on December 6, 1974 in Elko, NV. Lydia passed away on February 24, 2017.

He enjoyed traveling and being with his family.

Elias worked and retired from Southern Pacific Railroad.

Elias is survived by his daughter, Barbara (Lawrence, Jr.).Martinez of Roy; three grandchildren, Dylan Martinez, Alexeia Martinez, and Savanna Martinez also of Roy; two great-grandchildren, Dion Martinez and Briggs Martinez; his sisters, Maria Huerta of Sparks, NV, Antonia Verdin Rosas of GTO, Mexico, and Josefa Verdin Rosas of Ensenada, Mexico; and brother, Bartolo Verdin Rosas of GTO, Mexico. He was preceded in death by his sweetheart, Lydia; parents, brother, Isidro Verdin Rosas; and beloved Chihuahua, Chops.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
