Elizabeth Bailey Grant

January 5, 1925 ~ May 7, 2018

Our beloved sweet mother passed away on May 7, 2018. She was born in Garfield, UT to Ernest Bailey and Evangeline Davies and grew up in Ogden. Elizabeth was the sixth child of eight.

She married Charles R. Grant on September 5, 1942 in Evanston, Wyoming. They had four children: Nancy, Barbara, Christine, and Richard.

Elizabeth had several jobs growing up, her last one was at Fresenius Medical Care as an area coordinator.

Elizabeth loved basketball, especially the Utah Jazz. She liked bowling, knitting, reading, and being with family and friends. She loved animals, especially her sweet companion kitty Dottie. She donated a lot to animal causes.

Elizabeth had five grandchildren, Kristin, Kemy, Jackie, David, and Danny; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Fay; brothers, Dean, Lee, Clair, Blaine, Wayne, and Johanna Bailey; and grandchildren, baby-boy Leavitt who lived only three days, David Larsen, and Vivian Kemy Roundy.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park, Ogden. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

We would like to thank Ogden Regional Medical Center and Mount Ogden Rehabilitation for all they did for our Mother, and a special thanks to Jean, our mother’s roommate at Mt. Ogden; they kept each other company and had a few laughs.

We will see you again dear Mother in Heaven. You were wonderful and will be greatly missed.
