Elizabeth Quintana Herrera

July 12, 1920 ~ April 26, 2017

Elizabeth Quintana Herrera, 96, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017.  She was born and raised in Namba, New Mexico, the daughter of Ramon and Pilar Ortiz Quintana.  She married Pete G. Herrera in Sante Fe, New Mexico.  Pete passed away on April 2, 1996.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  Elizabeth was also a member of the Eagles and VFW.  She worked as a nurse’s aide at Hill Air Force Base.  Elizabeth loved spending time with her grandchildren, they were the light of her life.

Elizabeth is survived by her son, Toby (Judy); daughters, Victoria Uribe and Mary Jane (Melvin) Mittelstaedt; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and a special niece, Cordy Quintana.  She was preceded in death by her husband, infant son, Pete; grandson, Mark Uribe, great-granddaughter, Cory Sheppard; son-in-law, Alfred Uribe; two brothers, and four sisters.

Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4050 South 3900 West, West Haven.  Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the church.  Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
