Elizabeth (Betty) Loose

SYRACUSE a€" Betty Loose, 82, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 30, 2009. She was born October 13, 1926 in Stratford, Ontario, Canada to Katie Lengyel and John Kolybaba.

Betty married Martin LaMar Loose on March 10, 1946; they were later sealed in the Cardston, Alberta LDS Temple.

Betty was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in the Primary, Relief Society and enjoyed being a temple ordinance worker for 14 years. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, bird watching, people of all shapes, sizes and colors. She was a great cook and loved to share her BTS cake. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Betty is survived by her husband, LaMar; sons, Wayne (Marcie) and Cameron (Gina); daughters Marsha (Jerry) Gustad and Judy Stuhlman; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 4 brothers and 3 sisters residing in Canada.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Syracuse LDS Fourth Ward Chapel, 1625 S. 1100 W., Syracuse. Friends and family may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.

Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery, 1290 S. 1000 W.
