Ella Marriott Berrett

Ella M. Berrett, daughter of Parley and Sarah Charlton Marriott, 97, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2011.

She was born May 20, 1914. She grew up on a farm in Warren.

Ella married Weldon G. Berrett of North Ogden. They had a son, James W. Berrett, who currently lives in Buena Vista, CO.

Ella had a happy childhood. She enjoyed dancing and riding horses. She looked forward to hayrides in the fall and sleigh rides in the winter. Ella and her twin sister enjoyed singing together in church and school. Ella was a lifetime homemaker. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She also enjoyed many days at the Senior Citizens Center of North Ogden where she enjoyed playing cards and playing games.

Surviving is her son James, her twin sister Della M. East, North Ogden; one brother Harold Marriott, many nieces and nephews who adored her, 6 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Ella was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Lynn and Alan, her parents, a brother and a sister.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Ben Lomond North Ogden Cemetery. Friends may visit family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd.
