Ellen worked for the Navy Base and Hill Air Force Base for 26 years. She advanced to a level GS13, before she retired in 1975. Ellen and Myrl were divorced in 1968, but always remained close friends.
Ellen and Sharon lived together for a number of years and they traveled the world together. They explored and visited many beautiful cities and countries.
Ellen eventually left Ogden and found her new home in El Cajon, California. She made many new friends, several coming from the LDS Church where she renewed her faith and membership.
