LAYTON a€" Elliott Michael Eckert, 46, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2008 at Davis Hospital and Medical Center.

He was born February 28, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland the son of Ronald Bernard and Dorothy D. Southard Eckert. Elliott grew up in Miami, Florida, in 1997 he moved to Layton where he has resided until now.

Elliott was member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He enjoyed his career as an aircraft mechanic at the Department of Defense.

Elliott had a great sense of humor and was always a joy to be with.

Elliott had a love and a talent for music. He was an accomplished guitar player and enjoyed restoring classic guitars.

Surviving are his mother Dorothy, Layton; two brothers, David (Caterina) Bernard Eckert, Douglasville, GA; John Wakeland Eckert, Boca Raton, FL; and sister, Linda Dayton, Layton.

Preceded in death by his father and infant brother, Ronald Paul Eckert.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 31, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

The family would like to thank the LDS Heather Glen Ward for their kind and compassionate care and generosity given to Elliott.
