Ellis Larry Neves

October 18, 1932 ~ September 26, 2014

Ellis Larry Neves graduated from mortal life to eternal life on September 26, 2014 after a battle with multiple myeloma. He was born on October 18, 1932 to Ellis Graham and Belva Winn Neves at his grandparent’s Smithfield home.

Larry joined the Marines and served in the Korean Conflict.

Larry married Verla Kennedy in 1956. Together they had 2 daughters and divorced after 27 years. They were able to remain good friends. Larry married Evelyn Poulsen Bingham in the Ogden LDS Temple in 1987.

Larry earned degrees at Weber State College, Utah State University, and received his Master’s Degree from the University of Utah. He worked as a teacher, principal, and administrator at the Weber County School district for 32 years. Larry coached football at Bonneville High School.

Larry was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served on the city councils of both Washington Terrace and Plain City.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and sister.

Larry is survived by his wife; former wife; daughters, Kimberly (Robear Petty), Layton; Michelle Neves, Twin Falls, ID; stepsons, Kimm Bingham, Ogden; Guy (Valerie) Bingham, North Ogden; Drew (Shelly) Bingham, Farr West; Chris (Joy) Bingham, Perry; Andrew U.S. Army, South Korea; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 4, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. and Saturday 9:45 to 10:45 at the Mortuary.

Interment will be at Plain City Cemetery.
