Ellis Garland Stoor passed away on Monday, August 29, 2011. He was born July 11, 1920 in Soda Springs, ID to Roy and Mildred Stoor, the first of his siblings to be born in a hospital. His three brothers, Marvin, Odell, and Bill preceded him in death, also his son Garry, his grandson Terry Stoor and his granddaughter Tina Takacs. He was a graduate of Soda Springs High School. He married Doradel Lynch Stoor on August 14, 1941 in Idaho Falls, ID. She passed away on July 26, 1993. He later married Cleone Weaver Stoor in Salt Lake City, UT on June 10, 1955. She passed away on September 14, 2006.

Ellis worked for 35 years at Hill Air Force Base. He started out as a truck driver and worked his way up to Assistant Branch Chief in Quality Control. He was always building things and we all said his hobby was making sawdust.

Ellis is survived by his sister Marie Park, his two children, Ronny Stoor, Judy Holmes his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. where military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
