Elma Elaine Peck Christiansen

April 23, 1934 ~ September 21, 2014

Elma Elaine Peck Christiansen, 80, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014.

She was born April 23, 1934 in Highland, Utah, a daughter of Stanley and Malissa Elma Newburn Peck. She grew up in Payson, Utah and graduated from Davis High School.

On February 20, 1951, Elaine married and was sealed to Vernon Dwayne Christiansen, for time and eternity, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They raised their family in West Point before moving to Clearfield.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served as Stake Girls Camp Director, Cub Scouts and Young Women’s. She also worked in the Family History Center.

When her children were in school she served as PTA President. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, arts and crafts, painting, crocheting, traveling, and searching garage sales. She was also an avid rock hound. She lived for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and always remembered all of their names.

Elaine is survived by her husband, their six children, Brent (Darlla) Christiansen, Scott (Lorraine) Christiansen, Valerie (David) Johnson, Vicky (Harry) Berry, LaNoni Christiansen, Darla Christiansen; 22 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; five brothers and three sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and her step-father, Wilford Allen.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 26th at 11 a.m. at the Clearfield 18th Ward Chapel, 151 North 1000 West. The family will meet with friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, West Point Cemetery.
