Elna Dawn Kirk Chugg

October 1, 1931 ~ August 5, 2018

Our loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Relative, and Friend stepped through the veil into the arms of her loving family and friends that have passed before her. Elna Dawn was born in Lindon, UT to Odeal Cullimore Kirk and Hazel Keetch Kirk, with an older brother Lee and a younger sister LaRae. She was raised in Magna and moved to Pleasant View at age 15. She graduated from Weber Seminary and Weber High in 1949. She received her 2 year Associates Degree in 1 year at Weber College.

She married Glen Willis Chugg in the Logan LDS Temple on November 15, 1950.  They have lived in Pleasant View their entire married lives. She was an active member of the LDS Church and held many positions throughout her lifetime. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and Club with many dear friends.

To know her was to be loved by her. We will miss her Chugg hugs and love notes. We would all like to thank the many family members, the Pleasant View 12th Ward members, and Horizon Hospice for their love and service shown to Elna Dawn.

Elna is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Glen; her children, Monte (Karla), Rick (Terrie), Colleen (Tobias) Colunga, and Darin (Tami); 9 of her 10 grandchildren (18 including their spouses) and 17 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and her dear granddaughter, Bambi Dawn Chugg Thomas.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant View 12th Ward Chapel, 900 West Pleasant View Dr. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden.
