Elroy Coleman, Jr., 67, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022. He was born on February 2, 1955 in Winslow, WA, the son of Elroy and Norma Marrotte Coleman. He joined the US Army on June 8, 1973 and was honorably discharged on October 1, 1994.

Roy married Susan Hansen on September 12, 1975 in Clinton, Utah. The family lived in Germany, Missouri, Colorado and California. After Roy retired, they settled in Ogden, Utah. Roy then went to work as an auditor for ELM Locating and Utility Services.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends.  

Roy is survived by his wife, Susan of Ogden; children, Michael V. Coleman of Ogden, Matthew R. Coleman of Conroe, TX, Trisha S. French of Chaska, MN and Nancy A. Acuña of Ogden; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother, Russell “Jay” Coleman; and sister, Carol Coleman Long. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elroy and Norma and siblings, Norman, Frances, and Laurie.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
