LAYTON – Elsie was born August 7, 1938 to Elifar Jaramillo and Gregorita Trujillo in Monero, NM, a rural mining community located between Pagosa Springs, CO and Chama, NM. Mom was one of six sisters and three brothers whom she loved dearly.

On September 13, 1958, Elsie married Frank Nickerson in Durango, CO and they began their married life in Clinton, UT. Our father’s Federal civilian career began at the Internal Revenue Service located in Ogden, UT and resulted in career moves to Cincinnati, OH, and later the Air Force Logistic Command at Hill Air Force Base in Utah and retired from the United States Air Force Space Command in Colorado Springs. Since retirement they have lived in Layton, UT. Mother was a devoted wife and gifted in various areas that created memories for all of us.

She is survived by her husband Frank, daughter Deanne (Chris) Campbell, sons Gary, James (Claire) and Daniel. Mom was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved very deeply.

Mom was preceded in death by her parents, her three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Christian Life Center, 2352 E. Highway 193, Layton, UT with Reverend Dr. Myke Crowder officiating.  A viewing for our mother will be held from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the church. Our family would like to thank Inspiration Hospice & Home Health nurses for their compassion and endless support extended to us. Also a special thanks to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary for their help and concern and to Pastor Ernie Green who has been continually by our side.
