Elva Eunice Morris Moore
March 20, 1927 – October 13, 2016
Elva Eunice Moore, our loving mother, sister and grandmother, returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, October 13, 2016, at the age of 89.
She was born on March 20, 1927, in Stoddard Utah, to Clem Daniel Morris and Valeria Eunice Preece Morris. She grew up in Stoddard and Morgan and graduated from Morgan High School.
On November 16, 1946, she married Charles H. Moore, together they raised three children in Ogden and later divorced.
Through the years, she worked for the Naval Supply Depot, America First Credit Union and the Internal Revenue Service.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was very creative, loved painting, sewing, needlework, and caring for her flower gardens. She has always enjoyed the outdoors and activities such as fishing, golfing, bowling and playing tennis. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother and truly loved life.
Elva is survived by her three children and their spouses, Kirk and Karla Moore, Greg and Debbie Boyer, and David and Kayla Cook; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She also loved her sisters, Elaine Robins and Alta Robinson. She was preceded in death by her sister Alta, and her parents, Clem and Valeria Morris.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday October 19, 2016 at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary, prior to the services.
Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
