Elva Richeson Zaugg, 93, passed away Monday, October 1, 2012 at her home.

She was born May 25, 1919 in Lewiston, Utah to Ernest L. and Rosamond T. Kent Richeson. She also lived in Oregon and West Point.

On April 4, 1940, Elva married Wilford Zaugg in the Logan LDS Temple.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Elva served as the Stake Primary President and in the Stake Relief Society Presidency. She loved the Relief Society sisters, where she also served in the Ward Presidency. Elva and Wilford served in the Dallas Texas LDS Temple for 18 months and in the Ogden LDS Temple for 18 years.

They served as Grand Marshals in West Point 4th of July parade

She loved her children with all her heart. Her family was her favorite hobby and past-time. A few of her last sentiments were, "I love my family." Mom always had a smile and was very humorous even to the end.

Elva is survived by her loving husband, Wilford; eleven children, Karen (Roy) Barraclough, Orem; Lee (Ruth Ann), serving a mission in Austria; Eileen (Gerry) Beltgens, B.C.; Ned (Emily), Clearfield; Barbara (Hunter) Stuart, AZ; Laraine (Jerry) Bouck, CA; Reed (Dianne), Lewiston; Lowell "Buzz" (Nikki), West Point; Russ, Mt. Green; Doug (Brenda), West Point; Kelly (Laurel), South Ogden; 53 grandchildren; 87 great-grandchildren; one brother, Steven Richeson, TN; and one sister, Janet Child, Clinton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, a great-grandson, Aidan and a great-granddaughter, Annalyse.

The family will meet with friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Friday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 5th at 11 a.m. at the West Point 11th Ward Chapel, 550 North 2300 West.

Interment, West Point Cemetery. Mom always said, "Mind your manners and remember who you are."
