OGDEN a€" Our beloved husband and father, Elwood George Fronk, peacefully passed away at his home on April 11, 2012. He was born to Sarah Phillips Fronk on November 9, 1924 in West Weber, Utah. Two weeks prior, his father, Edwin George Fronk was killed in a horse accident. He was educated in Ogden City Schools, graduating from Ogden High.

He was drafted into the Army, serving in the Pacific Theatre, as a combat engineer. Elwood re-enlisted in the newly formed U.S. Airforce. Returning to Ogden, he attended WSC and USU. He fell in love with Kathryn Ingebretsen. They were married June 12, 1953 in the Logan LDS Temple. He was a loving husband, devoted father and doting grandfather and great-grandfather.

Elwood retired from Defense Depot Ogden, in the Civil Engineering Division. He was also employed by Ogden City. He enjoyed carpentry, mechanics, and collecting classical music. He was an amateur radio operator for many years with Army Mars.

Dad was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as Bishop in the South Ogden 28th Ward. Elwood and Kathryn served a mission to Auckland, New Zealand. They especially enjoyed their service as temple workers in the Ogden LDS Temple.

Dad is survived by his wife, Kathryn; children: Jeanne (Gene) Peterson and Dale (LuAnn); grandchildren: Jenny (Jason), Julie (Bryan), Jacalyn (BJ), Jessica (Michael), Heather, Natalie (Herbie), Jill, and Jodie and great-grandchildren: Emily, Josh, Hailey, Jake, Ryker, Jenna, Addison, and Dean.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his six siblings, Chet, Eddie, Vera, Elveda, Ruby and Phyllis.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Adams LDS Ward, 3755 Porter Ave. Friends may visit family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
