Emilee Richardson
August 28, 1985 ~ August 29, 2021
Dear Emilee,
It is with deep sadness that we announce your passing. You arrived on this earth with a good set of lungs and a lot of dark brown hair. You were born in Blackfoot, Idaho on August 28, 1985. Immediately you were adopted by your proud parents, Robert L. Richardson and Katheryn McBride Richardson of Layton, Utah.
As you grew, you loved to play dress up. Your first words were “we go shopping”, that never changed. You loved to try on shoes (any size), find teddy bears, and then eat corn dogs. Your best friend was your dog, Fletcher.
You spent many hours playing catch with your dad and Fletcher. You always wore your Dodger hat and shirt. Challenging dad to swimming races and playing Marco Polo in the St. George pool was fun. (You usually won)
Ballet was a big part of your life. You attended dance classes for many years. You were very proud of your toe shoes. Mom and you spent many Saturday afternoons having lunch at the Hotel Utah and watching Ballet West performances. You and Mom also enjoyed riding horses in Sun Valley and St. George. Even at an early age you could handle any horse. You visited Hogle Zoo so many times, you knew the animal’s names and helped with the care of the snakes.
Family vacations were always important. You traveled to Yellowstone every fall, as well as trips to Hawaii, Disney World, and baseball spring training games in Arizona. Watching Agatha Christie movies with Mom was a good time.
After graduating Cross Creek High School, you attended Fran Brown School of Cosmetology. You were a certified phlebotomist and spent time as a CNA. You also worked in the food service industry. You loved being around people.
Throughout your life you were saddled with many health issues that were not your fault. In spite of all that, you had a wonderful heart, and a place in it for your family and friends.
You left behind you heart broken parents; Bob and Kathee Richardson, Aunts; Nancy Richardson and Jane McBride, Uncle; Mike Richardson (Tina), and many loving cousins. Your cat, Roxee misses you very much.
Your last words were on your birthday (August 28, 2021) “Mom, I Love You”. We will treasure those words until we meet again. We know you are in a better place. We love you very much, and we are very proud of you. You made us a family.
Sweet Dreams Wonderful Daughter,
Mom and Dad
