Emiliano Valenzuela Bravo

December 6, 1941 – February 24, 2017

CLINTON – Emiliano Valenzuela Bravo, 75, passed away surrounded by his family at home on the day of his 55th anniversary of his marriage to his first sweetheart and beloved wife, Socorro Rocha Bravo from complications of a stroke.

Emiliano was born on December 6th to Aurelia Valenzuela and Eusebio Bravo in Hidalgo, Texas.  He was raised in a loving home.

Emiliano married his sweetheart, the mother of his children, on February 24, 1962 in Sebastian, Texas.  They moved to Clinton, Utah where they were blessed with one daughter and three sons.  He remained in this home for the rest of his life.  He started work at Utility Trailer Manufacturing in 1967 making a lot of friends, where he remained until a medical retirement in the mid 1990’s.  Emiliano lost his sweet Socorro to cancer on the 5th of May, 2002.  Emiliano later married  Margarita Solis, in October of 2003 which later ended in divorce.  Emiliano and Margaret continue to remain close friends.

Emiliano enjoyed spending time with his family and friends filling the house with laughter.  Pops loved to dance.  He enjoyed dancing the Huapango and Cumbia.  He would let a grito like you could ever believe.  He is dancing in Heaven now with Soccoro and his loving daughter, Alicia.

Emiliano is preceded in death by his wife, Socorro R. Bravo; daughter, Alicia B. Clark; his brother, Eusebio Bravo Jr.; sisters- Rebecca, Josefina, and Maria Louisa Bravo.

He is survived by his brother, Lionel Bravo; his sisters; Josefina Pastrana and Francisca Bravo, his sons; Emiliano Bravo Jr. (JoAnn), Roy, Utah, Miguel Bravo, Clinton, Utah, Abel Bravo (Sandy), Midland, Texas; and five grandchildren who love him dearly; Dominique, Natalie, Abel Jr. (A.J.), Katie, and Emily.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 So. Chapel Street, Layton, Utah.  Friends may visit family Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  A Vigil with Rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m.   Interment, Clinton City Cemetery.
