Emma Lucille Clough
OGDEN a" Emma Lucille Clough, 99, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Crestwood Care Center.
She was born on July 2, 1911 in Grantsville, Utah, the daughter of Benjamin and Perthenia Elenor Higley Peasnall.
Emma graduated from Grantsville High School in 1930. She resided in Washington Terrace for 25 years. Emma and her husband traveled for 12 years throughout the U.S. in an Airstream trailer.
Emma married Edward Jessop Clough on August 1, 1940 in Morgan, Utah and was later sealed in the LDS Temple.
She was an active member of the LDS Church. Her Young Women''s calling was her greatest joy. She attended the LDS services at Crestwood Care Center.
Emma left behind a five generation legacy of 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 2 A½ great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her children: Bonnie Larsen, Olympia, WA; Karen Painter, Layton, UT; Ed Clough, Vista, CA; Judy Davison, Layton, UT; and step-daughter, Carol Moss, Bountiful, UT.
Her husband, parents, 11 brothers and sisters, 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren were waiting to welcome her to Heaven.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Tuesday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, So. Ogden.
