Emmie Carol Kelly

- Emmie Carol Kelly is at peace, having passed away surrounded by loved ones on the morning of June 24, 2012. She will be forever remembered for her gentle, caring, giving and sometimes feisty spirit. She touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity, and maintained her trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. We were so lucky to have her as part of our lives. Gardening was one of her favorite past times and she took great pride in the beautiful garden she and her husband created year after year. She was born November 6, 1935 in Myrtle, Mississippi to Mack and Sue Floyd. On December 14, 1957, Carol married Michael E. Kelly in Los Angeles, CA. She worked as a Branch Manager of US Bank and is a former resident of Damascus, OR and Woodland, WA.

Carol is survived by her husband Michael; daughter, Kathleen of Washougal, WA; son, Christopher of Bend, OR: three grandsons, and sister, Donna (Ralph) Claxton of Washington Terrace, UT.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Sam Floyd, and sister, Pat Isbell.

The family wishes to convey their appreciation to the entire staff of Mt. Ogden Health and Rehab and to CNS Hospice for the care Carol received during her stay there. Special recognition is extended to her sister, Donna, for her tender loving care and tireless commitment to Carol during the months of her declining health.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Community United Methodist Church, 163 West 4800 South Washington Terrace, UT on Saturday, July 7th, beginning at 10 AM. A graveside service will follow at the Roy City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary.
