Enid Aileen Velasquez

Enid Aileen Velasquez, 85, passed away February 11, 2023 at McKay-Dee Hospital surrounded by family.  She was born in Montwell, Utah on September 19, 1937 to Arthur Wade and Hazel Adams Brown.

She married Henry Campbell Litster in August 1955.  Although they divorced in September 1974, they shared four wonderful kids together.  Enid married her love of 34 years, Joe Frutoso Velasquez, on January 11, 1976 and remained married until his passing on February 25, 2010  They shared one daughter together.  She was married to Larry Nelson from January 19,  2017 until her passing.

Eddie loved to garden and could hardly wait for spring to get back outside.  Anything she touched turned into something beautiful.  Her backyard was always an oasis you never wanted to leave.  She loved going to Wendover for a little gambling, but mostly for the seafood buffet.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved spending time with her grandbabies.  One of their fondest memories was her chocolate cake.

She is survived by her spouse, Larry Nelson, sons; Gary (Meridee) Litster, Nicholas Litster, daughters; Terry (David) Ransom, Robyn Coleman, Lisa (Rory) Davies, 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, sister, Inez Anderton and brother Les Brown.  She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Jerry and Wayne Brown.

A visitation will be held for family and friends on Saturday February 18, 2023 from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. A Memorial Service will be held in her honor from 7:15 to 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
