Epifanio Gallegos, 82, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 at George E. Wahlen Veteran''s Home.

He was born October 19, 1929 in Del Norte, Colorado to Manuel and Teresa Vigil Gallegos.

On August 5, 1955, Epifanio married Nora Vigil in Taos, New Mexico. She preceded him in death July 18, 1996.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II where he received the Victory Medal.

Epifanio is a member of the Catholic Church.

He enjoyed camping, fishing and watch repair.

Epifanio is survived by his children, Larry R. (Janet) Gallegos, Ogden; David L. (Frances) Gallegos, Ogden; Danny L. (Pamela) Giron, Salt Lake City; Joann Mares, Salt Lake City; Annie Giron, Ogden; two brothers, John Gallegos, AZ; William Gallegos, Draper; and one sister, Eva; also many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, Thomas and Benjamin and two sisters, Frances and Elenor. The family wished to express sincere appreciation to the staff at Ogden Regional Hospital, George E. Wahlen Veterans Home and Bristol Hospice for their compassion.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 19th at 10 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

The family will meet with friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and Thursday from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
