Eric Beers

August 4, 1984 — October 23, 2019

Eric Thomas Beers,

August 4, 1984 - October 23, 2019

In loving memory of Eric T. Beers, 35, who lost his hard-fought battle with metastatic melanoma cancer on October 23, 2019. He passed away peacefully in his wife’s arms and surrounded by his family.

He was born at Oak Knoll Naval Hospital in Oakland, CA on August 4, 1984.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jean Pearl, and Fred and Martha Beers. He is survived by his wife Katelyn Lee Beers, nee McCurdy, his son Houston, and his daughter Ruby. He is also survived by his parents Dean and Theresa Beers, nee Pearl, and his sister, Melissa Beers, as well as too many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends to list. He cared for them deeply and loved them all.

Eric moved here from Washington in March, 2012 because he loved everything outdoors. He also enjoyed repairing his friends’ vehicles and anything with a motor. The one thing he brought from Washington was his love for the Seattle Seahawks and he made sure to instill that in his little family. He was a caring, loving husband and proud father, and loved snowboarding, hiking, and discovering all the wonders of the outdoors with his family.

Eric was a Lead Machine Operator at Lifetime Metals in Freeport Center. He was very proud of his work and he was especially grateful for the time and training they made available to him. He made many close friends during his time there. We will all miss him tremendously!

A celebration of life will be held in his honor at 5:00 PM on October 28, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Roy.
