Eric William Nielsen

Eric William Nielsen, 27, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 11, 2013.

He was born July 1, 1986 in Ogden, Utah to Roger Glade and Nancy Gale Nielsen.

Eric graduated from Roy High School in 2004, where he lettered in football. He loved all sports especially football, basketball and wake boarding. He was a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals.

On March 17, 2007, Eric married BreAnn Deimer. Together they had two children. They later divorced but remained close friends. Eric will always be remembered as an exceptional father who loved his kids dearly.

He was a skilled finish carpenter and took great pride in his work. He was also proud to be an Eagle Scout. He was affiliated with Valley Camp where he was affectionately known as "Cheddar".

Eric will be remembered as big hearted, emotional and a "softy". He had a great sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. His mischievous behavior sometimes landed him in trouble, but it was all in good fun. He was incredibly musically talented and loved playing the guitar and the drums.

Eric is survived by his children, Oaklee Gale Nielsen and Lincoln Cody Nielsen; his parents, Roger (Shelly) Nielsen, Roy; Nancy Gale Knaus, Ogden; one brother, Cory Nielsen, step-brother, Tyson (Ryan) Spencer, step-sister, Jessica (Kenny) Trythall, sister-in-law, Emily White Nielsen, and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins who he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Chase Nielsen, his grandparents, Robert and Marylyn Gale, Glade and Alpha Nielsen, and an uncle, Lance Nielsen.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 17th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

The family will meet with friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Roy City Cemetery.

Donations may be made to any Bank of Utah in Eric''s name for the continued care of his children.
