Eric Warren Young

LAYTON- Eric Warren Young passed away on his 84th birthday at his home. He was born on June 29, 1928 in Ogden to Carl and Ingrid Borg Young. He was raised in Ogden and later joined the US Army where he served as an Army Paratrooper in WWII for almost three years. He was honorably discharged in 1949 as a Corporal.

On June 8, 1963 he married his sweetheart, Deloris "Lori" Lindgren. They were married for 48 years and had six beautiful children together.

He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1481.

Eric is survived by his sons, Randy Young of Portland, OR and Curtis Young of Springfield, MO; daughters Karla Woolard of Corpus Christi, TX and Carla Knighton of Clearfield, UT; sister Nancy Archibeque of Roy; ten grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Lori, his parents, and his darling daughters Karen Watson and Pam Rochell.

Private services with military honors accorded by VFW Post 1481 will be held for family at Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, South Ogden.
