Erick Pearce

Erick John Pearce, 40, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018 in a tragic car accident.

He was born December 4, 1977 in Bountiful, Utah the son of Lewis Craig and Kathleen Fawson Pearce.

He graduated from Layton High School in 1996.  He was recently attending Dixie State University, studying Computer Science.

John was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served an honorable mission to Mexico Guadalajara from 2001- 2003.

John married Kayla Dawn Behling October 11, 2003, later divorced.

He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1996 - 2000 and the U.S. Army from 2004 - 2011 when he was honorably discharged.

John is a very loving and considerate brother and uncle, a hard worker, and has a very good disposition.  John loved all children and they loved him and enjoyed spending time with him.

John did well in all his responsibilities of military and church service, with his most recent calling being Family History Consultant.  John enjoyed scouting, and earned his Eagle Scout. He loved to learn and share what he was learning with others.  We miss him and look forward to seeing him again.

He is survived by his step-father, Bruce Savage (Ines Rosal), siblings, Mark Pearce (Renee), Angela Maggard (Will), Natalie Savage (Mike), Levi Savage (Tara), Benjamin Savage, Timothy Savage (Velci), Heidi Thackeray (Rob), Ruthann Savage (Drew), Valerie Savage, Daniel Savage (Morgan), Matthew Savage, Jared Savage, 26 nieces and nephews and one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Craig Pearce and mother, Kathleen Fawson Pearce Savage.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Cedar Bench Ward Chapel, 1814 E. 7775 So., South Weber, Utah.  Friends may visit family Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.  Military honors will be accorded.
