Erik LaMar Buckley
Erik LaMar Buckley resident of Farmington for the past 59 years passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at home.
He was born June 7, 1927 in Ogden, Utah the son of John F. and Marie Amelia Erikson Olsen Buckley.
Erik married the love of his life Colleen Joy Young on August 23, 1952. Together they had four girls, Marlene Clark (Daryl), Janeane Dalton (her companion Bob Wilson), Annette Steed and Ramonna Steadmen. They also have 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
He served his country in the US Army during WWII as trainer of the young soldiers. He then retired after 40 years from Hill AFB as an electrician foreman. After retiring from Hill AFB he worked up until February of this year at the car wash in Farmington. These are just a few of the many jobs he enjoyed doing.
He was preceded in death by both parents, his siblings, and grandson, Michael Steed. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Farmington City Cemetery, 500 S. 200 E., Farmington. Friends may visit family Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 No. Main.
