Erma B. Chase OGDEN – Erma Beesley Chase, 83, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2008. She was born February 22, 1925, in Ogden, Utah, to George H. and Emma E. Bambrough Beesley. Erma lived in Roy, Utah for 10 years and Ogden, Utah for 73 years. She graduated from Ogden High School where she met the love of her life, Keith “Bud” Chase. They were married May 21, 1943, and together they were blessed with three children. During their marriage, Erma struggled through and endured the loneliness and absence of Bud during his time away during World War II and Korea. Erma and Bud were owners of Bud’s Drive In. She also worked as a dental assistant and as a bookkeeper for Buehler-Bingham. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Erma was devoted to her family and was proud of her three children, grandchildren and their accomplishments. She was very proud to be a great-grandmother and took great pleasure in sharing her memories with them. She enjoyed gardening, African Violets, crocheting, and she always enjoyed gatherings with family, and the friendships with caring neighbors. She is survived by her husband Keith of 64 years, her children and their spouses, Cheryl (Dave) Spencer, Longview, WA; Russell Chase, Ogden; Kay (Troy) Baker, Plain City; three grandchildren, Tracy Lasater, Travis (Sheyna) Clements, Kelsie (Drew) Blanch and one great-granddaughter, Reese Blanch. She is also survived by her sisters, Velma (Delton) Stanger and Sharon (Phil) Shorten. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, April 25, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. The family will greet friends at the mortuary on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. The family wishes to express special thanks to Dr. Navin Varma, the staff at McKay-Dee Hospital, and Intermountain Hospice.
