Erma Maughan

March 17, 1953 — March 11, 2021

Erma Flint Bingham Maughan returned to her Heavenly home after a courageous battle with cancer on March 11, 2021.

Erma was born March 17, 1953 to Clifford and Edith Arave Flint. She was raised in West Point and graduated from Clearfield High School.

She married Michael L. Bingham July 7, 1972, he passed away on November 11, 1979. She then met and married Charles B Maughan on November 13, 1982. They were sealed in the Ogden, UT Temple on June 10, 1995. Erma was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as Primary President, Relief Society President, numerous positions in the Primary, Relief Society and Young Women’s. She was also Achievement Day Leader.

Mom will forever be remembered for her loving acts of kindness, generosity, selflessness and the way she cared so much for everyone else. She loved and cared immensely for her family, extended family and friends and never missed an opportunity to express that love. Family was her everything.

What can be said of Erma’s famous pumpkin rolls and Rice Krispy treats, except they will be missed almost as much as she will be. Everyone loved her treats and knew there would be a fridge and pantry full of food, M&M’s on the counter and numerous candy jars. Erma always had a welcoming home that was full of love and open to everyone.

Erma is survived by her husband Chuck, sons Jared (Kerry) Bingham, Justin Maughan and daughter, Lisa Bingham, sister Julie (Ken) Loftus, brother Larren (Sharon) Flint, sister-in-law Laurie Maughan and brother-in-law Bruce (Pam) Maughan and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Mike Bingham, sister Janet Bingham and her husband Dennis.
