Esther M. Rodriguez Garcia, passed away on February 9, 2014 surrounded by her family.  She was born on July 29 in Pagosa Junction, Colorado to Jose Salomon and Cito Carlota Jacquez Rodriguez, and chose to keep her birth year a secret.

She married Gilbert Marcelo Garcia on June 21, 1967.

Esther was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church.  She worked as an instrument specialist at Hill Air Force Base before retiring.

Esther is survived by her husband, Gilbert of Roy; two sons, David (Donna) Rodriguez of Ogden; and Patrick (Nicole) Garcia of Fairbanks, AK; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two brothers, and 1 sister, Salomon (Alice) Rodriguez, F. Orris Rodriguez, and Vangie Garcia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother, Josephine Rodriguez; three sisters, Delia Allen, Priscilla O’Neal, and Sally Sanchez.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4050 South 3900 West, West Haven.  Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd,

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
