Ethel L. Montgomery
HOOPER – Ethel Lucinda Montgomery, 98, died Friday, February 29, 2008 at Life Care Center in Bountiful.
She was born February 9, 1910 in Thatcher, Utah, a daughter of Orson Pratt and Edith Patterson Stark.
Ethel married Leland Nathaniel Montgomery on November 21, 1928 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Leland preceded her in death in March of 1999.
She had lived in Nyssa, Oregon for 18 years.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings. She served a mission in the Northwestern States and was a temple worker in the Mesa, Arizona Temple.
Ethel loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She made hand quilted quilts for all of her grandchildren and also enjoyed crocheting afghans.
Surviving are two sons, Dean (Eldene) Montgomery, Hooper; Robert (Marie) Montgomery, Bountiful; 10 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving is one sister, Fae Munn, Prosser, WA.
Preceding Ethel in death were her husband, daughter Shirley, and two sisters, Inez Nelson and Larene Farr.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Tuesday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
