Ethel Cook Winslow passed away on November 17, 2011 in Bountiful. She was born on February 11, 1916, the 9th of 12 children, born to David Hunter and Chloe Liela Burrell Cook. She spent her childhood living in beautiful Cache Valley.

Ethel married Elwood Hardy on November 1, 1935. Together they had one son, Paul Eugene Hardy. They later divorced. She married Albert Lyle Winslow on July 17, 1951 in Oakland, CA. He passed away on May 9, 1970. They had three children.

A faithful member of the LDS Church, Ethel served in the Oakland Temple for many years. She was very talented and a perfectionist, excelling in all that she did. She was an accomplished ballet dancer, beautiful seamstress, excellent cook and had a great sense of humor.

Ethel is survived by two sons: James Lyle (Carol) Winslow, Rodney Frank (Lisa) Winslow, a daughter, Michelle Ann (Maikel) Bailey; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; and a sister LaVon Kimbrell. She was preceded in death by her husband, son Paul, four brothers and 6 sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am. Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary 727 N. 400 E. where friends may visit Friday from 6-8 pm and 10-11 am prior to the services. Interment will be in Avon City Cemetery in Cache Valley. The family wants to thank those at Avalon Care Center for the special care they gave our mother.
