Eugene John Bouck
Our loving Father, Grandfather and Friend, Eugene John Bouck, 98, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, January 8, 2013. He was born on February 7, 1914 to Eugene Paul and Annie Martig Bouck in Salt Lake City. He was raised by his grandparents, William and Margaret Bouck, whom he loved dearly. He graduated from West High School in Salt Lake City.
Eugene married Zelda Earlene Poage on February 19, 1935 in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple.
He established the Intermountain Dental Lab in Salt Lake City. In 1944, Eugene and Zelda moved their business to Ogden. In 1957, he retired his business and began working in Logistics Special Tooling at Hill Air Force Base, retiring in 1980. They remained in the Ogden area until 2003 when they moved to San Diego. Zelda passed away 6 weeks later, after 68 wonderful years of marriage. Eugene moved back to Ogden in 2007.
Eugene was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, particularly the Ogden 41st Ward and the Washington Terrace 7th Ward, where he loved serving in his callings.
He kept a beautiful yard and loved working with his hands. Eugene had a great sense of humor and was an unfailing optimist and a friend to all.
Eugene is survived by his children, Barbara B. (James) Craner, South Ogden, UT; Jerry B. (Laraine) Bouck and Carol A. Winkler both of San Diego, CA; 8 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren and brother, Paul Bouck, Salt Lake City, UT.
He was preceded in death by his wife, and sister, Verna Hanson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
