Eulala Imlay Davis

Eulala Imlay Davis passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017.  She was born on August 3, 1942 in Ogden, Utah to Dee Lister and Ethel Riding Imlay.  She was the seventh of nine children.  Her early years were spent in Washington Terrace, Utah.

As an Army wife, Eulala married young, raised her three children all over the world, and pursued her higher education with determination.  She earned her Associate of Applied Science in Computer Science from the University of Hawaii and graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Weber State College in the late 1970s.

Eulala was respected and feared by the IRS where she worked for many years as an Internal Auditor.  She excelled in her vocation, retiring from civil service in 2003.

Eulala was a history buff.  Her area of interest extended from the Civil War to World War II.  She loved remodeling her home, gardening, and reading.  She was a devoted watcher of PBS.  She loved her family and her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Davis, Midvale, UT; her sons, Vernon (Anne) Davis, Reno, NV; Terrence (Alexis) Davis, Layton, UT; four grandchildren, Sean, Ian, Zackery and Kate; her brothers, Ron and Terry, and  her sister, Lola. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Naomi “Pete”, Nettie, Chad, Bud, and Max.

Graveside services will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the Riverview Cemetery, 200 East 1200 South, Tremonton, Utah.  The family will meet with friends on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
