Eva De La Cruz

February 6, 1946 — April 1, 2019

It’s with a heavy heart that I am letting my friends and family know that we have lost Eva De La Cruz, my mom, to a brief battle with cancer.  She passed away peacefully Monday morning at 2:15 a.m. at the age of 73 in Utah.

She was born on February 6, 1946 to Micaela and David Alcocer.  She is survived by her husband David, two sons, Adam, David (Virginia), six grandchildren, Biancha, Cynthia, Jazmyn, Carina, Alex and David, three great-granddaughters, one great-grandson with another due in July.

She is also survived by four sisters and two brothers and many nieces and nephews not to mention many friends.

She will truly be missed as she would have entered this life as well as left never making an enemy.  She was adored by all who came in contact with her.  She enjoyed shopping for hours, occasionally going to the casino and Loved Elvis Presley.

We will be bringing her home to North San Diego, Escondido, in the coming days and to be buried in the coming weeks at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Thank you to all our family and friends in Utah who have spent countless hours sitting with her, helping her eat, making her smile and making her feel loved, our good friend Irma and her family, my cousin Graciela and her daughters and Angelica and Jesus.  Love you all for watching over her along with my brother Adam.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary,1867 N. Fairfield Road.
