Eva Hill Ford
1920 - 2011
Eva Hill Ford passed away Monday, August 22, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was born March 5, 1920 in Altonah, Duchesne Co., Utah to Chauncy Eugene and Hermione Jackson Hill, one of 14 children. Shortly after her birth the family moved to a home in Roosevelt where she grew up. After graduating from Roosevelt High she moved to Provo, Utah where she married William Dean Ford in 1940 and was sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple in 1960.
Eva supplemented their income as a beautician, with a shop in her basement enabling her to stay at home with her children. She also worked at Litton Industries in Salt Lake City retiring after 25 years.
She loved gardening and was a good cook. She also enjoyed vacations at Yellowstone and camping with her family.
Eva loved the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as Primary President, Ward Extraction Coordinator and as a visiting teacher. She was a peacemaker and a choice daughter of God.
She is survived by her husband Dean, children Keith (GaNene deceased), JoAn (Don Reynolds), Rick (Shelley Ford), nine grandchildren, eighteen great grand children, one great, great grandson, one brother and two sisters. She is preceded in death by daughter Kaye Marie Webster.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 27, 2011 at the Centerville 7th Ward Chapel, 270 N. 300 E. Friends may visit Friday, August 26, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Lindquist Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. and Saturday from 9:45 – 10:45 AM at the church prior to services. Interment at Centerville City Cemetery.
