Eva May Powell Ritch

1935~2019

Eva May Powell Ritch passed away on October 18, 2019 at the age of 84.  She was born on February 20, 1935 to Roy and Emma Powell.  She was the oldest of 12 siblings.

She was married to James Maurice Ritch on December 16, 1955.  They were later sealed in the

Salt Lake City Temple.  Both Eva and Jim have had 64 wonderful years together.  She loved to dance with Jim and they both enjoyed singing together for all the years they have been together.

Eva was involved with many church callings where she was able to teach and be the chorister working with the Primary children.  She worked at Tracy Collins Bank and later at Hill Air Force Base.

She was very close to her aunts and uncles on both sides of her family.  Every weekend Eva and Jim would travel to Lehi or Orem to visit with family.  Family was always important to her.

Through the years Eva and Jim performed and entertained many crowds and also included their children’s talents with a family band.

Eva is survived by her husband, James Ritch, her daughters; Kathy Ritch (Fred) Schriek, Kandie Ritch (Gary) Stephens, her sons; Jeffrey M. Ritch, Steven L. (Robin) Ritch, her brother Douglas Powell, sisters; Sandy Brooks, Dora Webb, JoanAnn Chorniak, Crystal Powell, 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main St., Kaysville, Utah.  Friends may visit with family from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the mortuary.  Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
