Evadne “Eve” Manning

Marcella Evadne “Eve” Myers Manning was born on 27 August, 1926, to David W. and Louisa Kohler Myers in Ogden, Utah. She attended schools in Ogden, including Ogden High School. She has resided in Roy, Utah for the past 54 years.
She is survived by four children, James D. (Kathy) Manning, Hooper; Blair J. (Therese) Manning, Syracuse; Susan LaDonna Manning (Wil) Grey, Syracuse; Don K. Manning, Jr., Roy; 14 grandchildren and a growing legacy of great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donn Knighton Manning (1964); her parents, David W. and Louisa Kohler Myers; her brother, Vincent Myers; sisters, Cora Myers (Norm) Cragun and Melba Myers (George “Woody”) Taylor.
Eve married Donn Knighton Manning on 12 September, 1946, in Ogden, Utah. They were later sealed for time and eternity in the Ogden Utah LDS Temple. She was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in various callings during her life, including Primary teacher, Cub Scout den leader and in the Adult Singles program.
She worked for many years following her husband’s passing at the Ogden Golf and Country Club and later, for nearly 20 years, at Hill Air Force Base in the logistics packaging area.
Eve passed away of natural causes at her home on Sunday, 3 June, 2018, surrounded by loving family members.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Hooper Cemetery, 5290 South 6300 West. The family will meet with friends on Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
