Evan Smith, 69, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017. He was born on July 27, 1948 in Ogden, Utah, to Percival Bernard and Anna Rebecca Smyth Smith.

He served in the Air Force Reserve during the Vietnam War.

Evan married Linda Lea Gailey on July 31, 1982.  Evan and Linda resided in West Weber, Utah, for over 33 years. He was known and very well respected in the concrete industry.

His greatest joy was spending time with and taking care of his family. A selfless man, he will be remembered for always putting others first. He also enjoyed classic cars, woodworking, and puttering in his shop.

Evan is survived by his wife, Linda Smith, West Weber; children, Rusty (Julie) Child, Bend, OR; Wendy (Troy) Douglas, Plain City; Kami (Dustin) Maxfield, Hooper; Lori (Chris) Stout, Cincinnati, OH; Justin (Alecia) Smith, Hooper; and Tracy (Tim) Whaley, Cedar City; eleven grandchildren, Jazmine, Jake & Dalton, Blaike & Brantley, Carter & Connor, JC, and Wyatt, Cord, & Bridger; and brother, Vern (Carol) Smith, Eden. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Leona Smith.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the West Weber Cemetery. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
