Evelyn Smith Davis, 59, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. She was born on January 13, 1958 at St. Benedict’s Hospital in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Melvin C. and Lola Bingham Smith. She grew up in Ogden and Washington Terrace and graduated from Bonneville High School.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Evelyn enjoyed spending time with her family in the mountains and up at Pineview Dam. She loved having her grandchildren over and spending time with them. She also enjoyed listening to music.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Matthew B. (Linda) Locke, Washington Terrace; Trisha Davis (Daniel) Johnson, Washington Terrace; son-in-law, Michael House, Roy; and her partner, David Cardenas, Washington Terrace; 13 grandchildren, Jaden, Skyler, Zachary, Lola, Justus, Trinity, Jasmine, Wyatt, Sethaniel, Hayden, Daisha, Natalie, and Annistyn; two great-grandchildren, Alaeya, and Zendrik; mother, Lola Bingham Smith; and siblings, Billy Smith, Christine Weatherby, Colleen Spencer, and Ralph Smith. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharee Locke House; and her father, Melvin Smith.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

The family would like to give a special thank you to David Cardenas for being by her side through sickness and health.
