Evelyn Taylor Moss Hansen

FRUIT HEIGHTS – Evelyn Taylor Moss Hansen, 99, passed away January 6, 2018 at her home.

She was born April 28, 1918 in Willard, Utah the daughter of Ulysses Carl and Gladys Richardson Taylor.

Evelyn married Haven H. Moss on January 18, 1938 in Morgan, Utah.  He preceded her in death in November 1967.  She married Wynn L. Hansen on November 21, 1978 in Oakland, California.  He preceded her in death in April 2002.

She was a member of the LDS Church, President of the Yolo County California Soroptiments Club and Manager of Lawrence’s Department Stores in Lake Tahoe, Sacramento and Davis, California.

Evelyn was an avid reader.  She enjoyed her family, sewing, quilting, canning, family history and giving the best hugs in the world.

Surviving are her sons, Randall (Sharon) Moss of Anchorage, Alaska; Guy (Rosey) Moss of Lake Tahoe, Nevada; step-son, Wynn (Karen) Hansen, three step-daughters, Judy Millard, Marge (Ryan) Barrus, Joann (Mark) Sackett, 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, 16 step-grandchildren and 41 step-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husbands, daughters, Margo Lynn Moss Ganow, Sherrill Lee Moss Brown Miller, grandson, Glen H. Ganow, sisters, Mildred Taylor Chlarson Lundquist, Donna Jean Taylor Thredgold, brother, Earl C. Taylor and step-son, David Brent Hansen.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 12, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main.  Friends may visit family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, East Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Sacramento, CA.
