R. EVELYN ROBISON
OGDEN – R. Evelyn Robison joined loved ones in heaven when she peacefully passed away, October 16, 2008.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Evelyn was born January 9, 1928 to Birt P. Allred and Ada E. Garner in Ogden, Utah. Her formative years and early adult life were spent in Ogden, later years were spent in Clinton and Layton. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held various teaching positions.
She married Clark L. Spiers May 11, 1944 and they were blessed with seven children, they later divorced. She then married Paul Robison on May 26, 1967 and their union was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
Evelyn worked for various companies, but was mainly a homemaker. She enjoyed dancing, camping, traveling, and visiting loved ones. She had a great affection for animals, cats and dogs, always had a place in her heart and on her lap. She loved music, especially hymns. She loved to be helpful, even in her final years. She was always trying to help the other residents and the CNA’s at the care facilities.
She is survived by her children, sons Darrell L. Spiers (Carolyn), David E. Spiers (Rita), Rodney B. Spiers, and daughters, Connie V. Bright (Dewane),Vivian Luddington, Wendy J. Carpenter, her brother Kenneth Allred, and many grand children, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Paul, her parents, six siblings, one daughter, Vickie Lynn Reed, one granddaughter, Genet E. Spiers Larkin, and one great grandson, Preston Mascarenas.
Her sweet smile and quiet manner will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the care facilities, and all the hospice workers, especially Nancy, Kathy and Jackie.
Funeral services will be held, Monday, October 20, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
Friends and family may call at the mortuary on Sunday, October 19, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment will be at Aultorest Memorial Park
