Evelyn L. Royster

Evelyn L. Royster RIVERDALE – Evelyn Lucile Royster, 86, died Wednesday, October 15, 2008 in Washington Terrace. She was born February 13, 1922 in Ogden, a daughter of Simon and Guurtje DeGooyer Van Boerum. Evelyn married Kenneth Gene Royster on August 21, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was raised and educated in Ogden graduating from Ogden High School. Evelyn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Evelyn enjoyed collecting antiques and dishes. She also loved traveling and reading. Surviving are her husband, Kenneth, of Riverdale; one son and one daughter, Greg (Pam) Royster, South Ogden; Kendra (Brice) Penrod, North Ogden; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Richard, niece, Brenda, three brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday Noon to 12:45 p.m. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Send condolences to the family at: www.lindquistmortuary.com
