Evelyn Mae Tanner
August 28, 1924 ~ December 31, 2015
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and great-great-great grandmother, Evelyn Mae Tanner returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Lotus Park Assisted Living surrounded by her family at the age of 91. She was born August 28, 1924 in Haines, Oregon to Frank and Verna Huff.
On November 16, 1948, Evelyn married Richard M. Tanner in Baker, Oregon.
She worked at Smith’s in Washington Terrace for many years. She and dad traveled a lot with her sisters and brothers-in-law.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Mary (Noel) Jacobson, Wallace (Claire) McCulloch, LaWana Cameron, Donald (Michelle) Tanner and Christine Hoskins; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great grandchildren, one great-great-great-grandchild; and one brother, Bob Andrews, Stevens, WA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Verna and Wanda, one brother, Jim, one son-in-law, Dan, one great-grandchild, Joshua.
A huge thank you to the staff at Lotus Park Assisted Living, particularly the CNAs she became so close to, and A Step Forward Hospice, especially Kristy and Rhonda.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. The family will meet with friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
