Evelyn Watt

Mary Evelyn Potter Watt, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, returned home to her Heavenly Father on Friday, August 3, 2007, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born October 16, 1929 in Tremonton, Utah to Leland Perry and Wilhelmina Caroline Andersen Potter.

Evelyn married her eternal sweetheart, Oleen L. Watt, on January 17, 1948 and the marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. They were blessed with one daughter. Evelyn and Oleen were married for 57 years.

She served in various callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her favorite calling was teaching the Primary children. She was also a faithful visiting teacher.

Evelyn was very talented in ceramics, painting numerous beautiful porcelain dolls. She prided herself in her yard and flower gardens. She took great pleasure in hosting many family and friend get-togethers and devoted her life to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren through loving tender ways. This is how she will truly be remembered.

Surviving is her daughter, Terry (Mike) Naegle, South Ogden; three grandchildren, Travis (Crista) Torman, Hickory, NC; Tiffany (Justin) Johnson, South Ogden; Justin (Jori) Torman, Eden.; and eight beautiful great-grandchildren, Savannah, Brooklyn, Austin, Hunter, Madison, Cameron, Jaxon, and Ridge. They truly loved and will miss their sweet "Granny". Evelyn is also survived by two sisters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 9th at 11:00 a.m. at the South Ogden 8th Ward Chapel, 720 Nancy Drive.
