Evelyn Hauser Thompson 2/2/1929- 1/5/2008
Evelyn Hauser Thompson departed from her earthly home January 5, 2008 to be with her Heavenly Family. Our loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother was born February 2, 1929 in Salt Lake City to Oscar and Gertrude Hauser, parents preceded in death. Evelyn lived in Salt Lake her first 13 years then moved with family to reside in Bountiful where she attended Jr. High and graduated from Davis High in Kaysville in 1946. In 1948 she met and married Gerald (Jerry) Thompson in the Salt Lake Temple.
She has resided in the West Bountiful area most of her life and is the mother of two sons, Terry and Scott whom were loved so dearly. Doing things with family was always so enjoyable. Evelyn loved the outdoors, the mountains, lakes and being at the cabin in Flaming Gorge amongst the pine trees. She enjoyed being creative and entertaining family and grandchildren, this meant so much to her.
As a member of the LDS church she had many callings over the years, teaching, extraction work and librarian. Evelyn enjoyed many interesting and wonderful experiences throughout life and family was always most important.
Survivors include husband, Jerry, two sons Terry (Pat) Thompson, Scott (Lynell) Thompson, brother Ron Hauser, 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, one niece and two nephews.
